Малов Александр Иванович родился 15.01.1947 г в п. Тульский Майкопского района Краснодарского края.
Окончил ВЗПИ (Москва) в 1975 году, аспирантуру ВСЕГИНГЕО в 1979 году. Кандидат геолого-минералогических наук – 1980 г. Доктор геолого-минералогических наук (ИГЭ РАН) – 2003 г.
