Родился 16. 01. 1946 в селе Андреевка, Сумского района, Сумской области. С 1960 - 1963 учился в Сумском техникуме пищевой промышлененности. 1963 – 1965 работал в городах Макеевка и Таганроге разнорабочим, электросварщиком. 1965 – 1970 студент Харьковского института радиоэлектроники по специальности Электронные вычислительные машины, 1970 – 1980 инженер, научный работник этого института, аспирант, преподаватель. 1980 – 2012 работа в Сумском государственном университете: 1980 – 1992 старший преподаватель, доцент, 1992 - 2012 профессор, заведующий кафедрой электроники и компьютерной техники, 2012 – профессор этой кафедры.
В 1979 год защитил кандидатскую диссертацию «Исследование и разработка электронных устройств отображения для автоматизированных информационных систем» по пециальности 05.13.01 - Техническая кибернетика и теория информации. В 1991 защитил докторскую диссертацию «Методы синтеза информационных систем на основе позиционных чисел с неоднородной структурой» по специальностям: 05.25.05 - Информационные системы и процессы и 05.13.05 – Элементы и устройства вычислительной техники и систем управления.
НАГРАДЫ, ПРЕМИИ, ГРАНТЫ
Проф. Борисенко А. А. награжден «Почетной грамотой» и знаком «Отличника образования Украины» Министерства образования Украины. Является «Почетным профессором» Сумского государственного университета.
Получил бронзовую медаль и денежные премии за разработанные изобретения.
Ежемесячно получает премию за высокий уровень преподавания в Сумском государственном университете.
В 1998 году проф. Борисенко А. А. выиграл грант QSU 081019 международного фонда «Возрождение» (США и Украина) в конкурсе, который проводился среди математиков (профессоров и научных работников) Украины
